Robert M. Thomas, RPA, served as 1983 BOMA Atlanta President.

Robert M. Thomas joined Carter & Associates in 1973, and served as its vice president of office property management. He was also a certified appraiser, certified electrician and a registered property manager. Thomas served as a member of the Atlanta Board of Realtors, on the Governor’s Energy Commission and the Georgia Asbestos Licensing Board. He perhaps made his most noteworthy contribution to commercial real estate in the field of education and training through his service to the Building Owners and Managers Institute (BOMI). During his period of leadership, BOMI had an outstanding record of growth and evolved as a major force in the field of professional continuing education in the real estate industry.

He earned the Real Property Administrator (RPA) designation from the Building Owners and Managers Institute.
