Following his graduation from the University of West Georgia in 1971 with a degree in marketing and management, Michael Hoffer launched a highly successful career in commercial real estate. First, he joined The Frates Company in Tulsa, OK as a leasing agent. Shortly thereafter, Hoffer transferred to the company’s office of property management. While in Oklahoma, Hoffer was licensed as a real estate salesman and, subsequently, broker. Also in Oklahoma, he worked as an asset/property manager for Federal Savings and Loan, formed a commercial real estate brokerage, leasing and property management firm and ran the property management department of Bauer & Associates. After relocating to Atlanta, Hoffer served as the general manager at Tower Place in Buckhead prior to joining Corporate Property Investors of NY as the general manager at The Lenox Building in Buckhead. Under Hoffer’s leadership, the Lenox Building won a local TOBY award in 1994. Hoffer won another TOBY award as the senior property manager at One Ninety One Peachtree Tower, a Cousins Properties Inc. building, when the property won the Earth Award in 1999.
