Marcy Moneypenny

Marcy began her career in an administrative role working with a general contractor who focused on tenant improvements for commercial real estate properties. She was subsequently hired by one of the contractor’s clients to serve in an administrative role for a global real estate company.
Marcy joined CBRE in 2004. Through service in various roles, she ultimately had asset services responsibility for CBRE’s Atlanta region, which included a portfolio of approximately 30 million square feet of office, industrial, and retail properties located in Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee. In this capacity, she led a team of more than 200 employees and ensured property management and operations requirements were met in alignment with the investment strategies of the properties’ owners.
Marcy was later promoted to serve as Managing Director within CBRE’s Client Care Americas-Investor Services’ group. In that role, she partnered with leaders in the top 10 markets in the United States to build the company’s Americas Client Care Program. The program focused on creating and implementing a business strategy that provided an accountable and measurable roadmap for every client.
Globally, Marcy was CBRE’s leader for the Morgan Stanley account, where she worked to align Morgan Stanley’s goals in every country where it had a physical presence into a strategic plan that successfully crossed country borders. At CBRE, she also partnered in client care with some of the world’s most influential corporations, including Nuveen, JP Morgan, Clarion, Allianz US, and Credit Suisse.
In 2020, Marcy moved to Denver Colorado, where she served as Principal and Managing Director for Avison Young from 2020 to 2025. There, as the Market Leader, she also served as Managing Director and Principal for Denver, with responsibility for overall financial operations, client value creation, revenue growth, talent recruitment/development, and strategic acquisitions. In that capacity, she led a team of real estate professionals who specialized in industrial, office, land brokerage, capital markets, hospitality, and valuation.
Marcy also served as the company’s Global Executive Sponsor for the Avison Young Women’s Network, where she focused on mentorship and empowering others.
In 2025, March founded The Moneypenny Collective, a platform dedicated to help women in commercial real estate lead with influence, rise faster, and claim more than just a seat at the table. Through the firm, Marcy provided a variety of services including mentoring, strategy development, educational workshops, and more.
Marcy’s leadership was recognized by receiving the 2024 Avison Young Global Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Champion Award; the 2023 Glob St. Women of Influence Mentor Award; the 2014 CBRE Endurance of Spirit Award; and the 2014 CBRE Asset Services Maret Leader of the Year Award.
Marcy also received the 2009 BOMA Atlanta Pen & Quill Award for her contributions to the association’s print magazine. She was elected to serve as a member of the BOMA Atlanta Board of Directors in 2010 and served as a board member through 2015.
Marcy earned the Real Property Administrator (RPA) designation from Building Owners and Managers Institute International (BOMI International); and Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM).
Marcy studied art education at the University of Oklahoma and earned a commercial real estate license in Colorado.
