2023 - 2024 | BOMA-Atlanta / BOMA Georgia Presidents

Laurie Harper, Vice President of Operations-Atlanta with Cousins Properties, served as 2023-2024 BOMA Georgia President. Laurie was the first person in 45 years to serve as President for two years, which was a decision made by the Board of Directors to maintain continuity in significant strategic projects that were in development. Laurie was also the first person to simultaneously serve as BOMA Georgia President and Chair of the BOMA Georgia Foundation.

Laurie joined Cousins Properties in February 2019 as Director of Operations for Atlanta and became Vice President of Operations for Atlanta in 2021. As Vice President of Operations for Atlanta, at the time she served as BOMA Georgia President, Laurie was responsible for the property operations of Cousins Properties’ 7 million square foot Atlanta portfolio.

Prior to joining Cousins Properties, Laurie was the Managing Director for Cushman & Wakefield’s Asset Services group in Atlanta, where she was responsible for growing the firm’s portfolio of properties managed on behalf of owner clients from 2016 until 2019 and as Portfolio Manager from 2013 to 2016.

Before joining Cushman & Wakefield, Laurie worked in JLL’s Asset Services group as a Senior Vice President-Group Manager for a portfolio of properties from 2007 until 2013. And prior to that, Laurie served as a Regional Finance Director for Equity Office Properties Trust.

Laurie started her commercial real estate career with Equity Office as an Administrative Assistant for the leasing team, before becoming a Regional Administrator responsible for the regional office operations.  She was then promoted to an Assistant Property Manager to get field experience, before taking on the Regional Finance Director role in which she was responsible for overseeing the accounting, leasing administration and customer service departments in addition to reporting the region’s financial performance.
