Ian Hughes
2016 | BOMA-Atlanta / BOMA Georgia PresidentsIan Hughes, LEED GA, General Manager with CBRE, served as 2016 BOMA Georgia President.
Ian began his career with AmeriFirst Bank in Miami, Florida, in 1983, serving in various capacities and ultimately as Vice President. He then became Managing Director with Equity Office Properties (EOP) in Atlanta in 1992, where he oversaw portfolios of properties in Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and New York. After 14 years with EOP, he served as Senior Vice President with Jones Lang LaSalle from 2006 to 2014.
He then served as Senior Managing Director with Cushman & Wakefield from 2014 to 2015 and General Manager with CBRE in 2016, before being hired as Senior Vice President of Management and Leasing for the East Territory at Lillibridge Healthcare Services in September 2016. At Lillibridge, Ian oversaw the management and operation of a 9 million square foot portfolio.
According to the Lillibridge website in 2016, “Ian holds a pivotal role at Lillibridge Healthcare Services, overseeing our property management teams in the East Territory and ensuring that we deliver exceptional customer service and care to our buildings and healthcare tenants. With a steadfast commitment to excellence, he oversees our property management teams, driving optimal financial performance and tenant satisfaction.”
Ian also served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Southface Institute in Atlanta from 2007 to 2009 and as a member of the board of the Perimeter Transportation Coalition from 2002 to 2007, including a term as president.
He was also selected as the 2016 BOMA Southern Region Member of the Year.
Ian graduated from Villanova University in 1980 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and in 1982 from Drexel University with a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Finance. He also earned a Georgia real estate license in 1996.
