Cissy Smith

1996 | BOMA-Atlanta / BOMA Georgia Presidents

Cissy Smith, RPA, served as 1996 BOMA Atlanta President.

In the mid-1970s, Smith began a career as an assistant manager of the Omni International complex—now known as the CNN Center—in downtown Atlanta. Smith assisted in seeing the complex through a transitional and often challenging time. After a short stint with a property management firm in Nashville, TN, Smith came back to Atlanta to work for Carter & Associates. There, she managed Northcreek Office Park, where she aimed to make tenants, large (IBM) and smaller, happy, especially during a period of renovations. Following this time period, Smith transitioned to Peterson Properties. In 1995, Smith joined Koll–now part of CBRE—where she managed the Delta Air Lines Corporate campus.

Cissy earned the Real Property Administrator (RPA) designation from the Building Owners and Managers Institute.
