Peyton Bain with Realty Trust Group Named a 10 to Watch
Peyton Bain, Senior Property Manager at Realty Trust Group in Atlanta, Georgia, has been selected by CRE Insight Journal as one of the 10 to Watch in commercial real estate. The CRE Insight Journal 10 to Watch program recognizes the commercial real estate industry’s top early-career professionals and showcases how emerging professionals are shaping the real estate industry through a variety of career pathways.
At Realty Trust Group, Peyton manages more than 800,000 square feet of medical office buildings and healthcare facilities, leading a team of four and overseeing daily operations, budget planning, and vendor management. In just the past year, she has also assisted in opening four new medical office buildings. Peyton represented the property management/operations line during development and construction meetings and ensured that the operations side of the development were completed on time and with quality. She worked closely with project management, facilitating essential modifications for operational functionality, such as the installation of access ramps and remote HVAC controls. “Seeing these buildings come to life and ensuring they’re accessible and efficient for both tenants and patients has been incredibly fulfilling,” she said.
Additionally, Peyton has helped her company implement a new work order system. Through working closely with the information technology team, Peyton helped to develop tools that improved workflow for property management and building engineering professionals at the company. This included creating preventive maintenance and inspections schedules for fourteen medical office buildings that had nothing in place.
Peyton is also an active community volunteer. She regularly supports homeless shelters, women’s and children’s shelters, and food banks. “A little can go a long way,” she said, emphasizing the joy of securing gifts, as well as essential items, for children during Christmas season. Peyton’s dedication to giving back is also seen through her participation in fundraisers and other services projects for food banks, clothing drives, Toys for Tots, and school supplies, and volunteering at animal shelters.
Before her current role, Peyton served as a Property Manager at Welltower, where she managed a portfolio totaling 530,000 square feet of medical office and healthcare facilities. In previous roles at Welltower, she took on additional responsibilities, including training new Property Administrators, supporting capital improvements, and overseeing a range of operational tasks.
Peyton views the real estate industry as a vital contributor to community well-being, particularly in the healthcare sector. She highlights the positive impact of healthcare facilities in fast-growing areas like Gwinnett County, Georgia, where new developments provide life-saving care and modern facilities close to home. “To be part of something that brings essential care to my community is incredibly rewarding,” she said.
Peyton is also a strong advocate for sustainable practices, working with vendors to reduce environmental impact through green products, recycling programs, and energy-efficient solutions. “We’re always striving to be more sustainable in our work, which ultimately benefits the community and the environment,” she said.
