Todd Mitchell, RPA, CCIM received the 2022 Thought Leadership Award from Commercial Real Estate Insight Journal.  

Todd collaborated with CRE Insight Journal in 2022 to produce the two-part article series “It Takes a Village” (part 1, part 2) on the community impact of commercial real estate, where he shared expertise on creating buy-in for a new asset in the community, the impact a property and the property team can make, investing in the future, and more. He was also featured as a thought leader in serval CRE Insight Journal videos on the topics of The Importance of Being Informed on CRE Advocacy, How to Build Trust as a New Presence in a Community, and the importance of advocacy and community building in the context of the Steps to Acclimating within a New Market. 

Todd also participated in the October 2022 Lessons in Leadership discussion panel and served as moderator for the program. Some of his remarks were released in a January of 2023 Lessons in Leadership article published at www.CREInsightJournal.com

Todd began his real estate career in 2004 in Atlanta, Ga. as Managing Principal of IssaMAX, a real estate and facilities management consulting group focused on project management, building, equipment, grounds, utilities, and capital improvements. Through IssaMAX, he directed all facilities, engineering, and environmental activities of the firm.  

In February 2006, Todd joined Columbia Property Trust, formerly Wells Real Estate Funds, in Atlanta, ultimately serving as Director of Operations-National Property Management. In that capacity, he guided 13 direct reports and led the facility and tenant management of more than 10.5 million square feet of real estate located throughout Georgia, New York, California, and Washington, D.C.  

In March 2020, Todd joined Bridge Commercial Real Estate in Atlanta as Director of Property Management. There, he oversaw a $20 million operational budget and $50 million in capital expenditures. He also led all strategic planning and facility operations for the company, in addition to managing real estate transactions and end-to-end construction projects. Additionally, he planned and executed strategic post-COVID-19 pandemic initiatives to improve daily logistics and revitalize mechanical plant operations, communal area space protocols, and tenant safety communications. Furthermore, Todd executed the company’s strategic vision and built partnerships to develop, implement, and manage internal/external diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging strategies, partnerships, programs, and initiatives. 

Todd served as the 2017 President of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) of Georgia and was also recognized as the 2017 BOMA Southern Region Member of the Year.  

Todd earned a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Risk Management from Georgia State University. He also earned the Real Property Management (RPA) designation from Building Owners and Managers Institute International and the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation from CCIM Institute.
