Shannon Westberg, RPA, with The Simpson Organization, was named BOMA Georgia’s 2016 Manager of the Year. Her The supervisor at The Simpson Organization noted that if there is a challenge to be met, Shannon would come up with a creative and ingenious plan for meeting that challenge. She also said of Shannon, “She gives freely of her experience and knowledge, from mentoring other property managers, to fostering decade long relationships with vendors, to engaging engineering staff in BOMA’s BTO program. She takes pleasure in helping her team reach their goals. It is with the above in mind that I submit her for the Manager of the Year Award.”

Another BOMA member stated, “I recently switched career paths in 2016, and I have worked with Shannon in the past as a vendor. She went above and beyond on helping me network and educate on my new career path. She introduced me to several important people that were instrumental in helping me transition into my new job to gain proficiency and experience. She realizes how important good vendor services are to a property.”

Another member stated, “Shannon has served in a variety of volunteer positions within BOMA, each time exhibiting her commitment to hard work and dedication to BOMA. Through her willingness to serve and through her many awards and achievements, continues to exemplify the finest of what BOMA has to offer through management in the real estate industry. She truly deserves this recognition.

Shannon also led her team at The Hurt Building to win 8 TOBY Awards, including two wins at the international level: the 2009 International Earth Award and the 2013 International Historical Building TOBY Award.

Shannon also earned the Real Property Administrator (RPA) designation from the Building Owners and Managers Institute.
