2023 | Allied Member of the Year

Russ Offerman, Senior Vice President with Peachtree Landscape Group, receive the 2023 BOMA Georgia Allied Member of the Year Award. The award was created to recognize outstanding achievement or contributions to BOMA Georgia and to the office building industry.

An individual who nominated him for the award said, “Russ has proven time after time his true dedication and love for BOMA. At all events, Russ champions for the promotion and success of the organization. Even in his first year of owning his company, Peachtree Landscape Group, he still takes the time to support BOMA every chance he gets. He is never found without a smile on his face and kind words for those around him. He is truly a one-of-a-kind person that has a positive impact on everybody that knows him.”

Another individual said, “Russ is a valued partner to me. He is a stand-up guy. When he tells you he is going to do something he does. He shows up and goes above and beyond. He exudes compassion and understanding in everyday dealings.”
“Russ embodies selfless service to others,” said 2023-2024 BOMA Georgia President Laurie Harper. “He is a passionate leader within BOMA Georgia and a thoughtful and caring business partner. Russ also supports others with the resources and relationships they need to achieve their goals.”

“We are very fortunate that Russ is such an active and engaged leader within BOMA Georgia,” said BOMA Georgia Chief Executive Officer Gabriel Eckert. “Russ has an impressive ability to think strategically, asking thought-provoking questions, and, at the same time, ensure everyone at the table is engaged in the conversation. He is also one of the most passionate, effective membership ambassadors we have, always making connections and bringing new members into our association.”

Throughout his career, Russ was an active member of several BOMA Georgia committees, including the Community Service Committee, Membership Committee, Professional Development Council, Sports Outing Committee, TOBY Judging Committee, and Trade Show Committee. He also served as 2021 Membership Committee Chair and 2022 Allied Member Resource Group Vice Chair. Russ was also elected to serve as a member of the BOMA Georgia Board of Directors for the 2023-2024 term.

Leading the BOMA Georgia Membership Committee in 2021, Russ helped the association implement post-COVID-19 membership recruitment and retention strategies and navigate building member value in new ways. His leadership laid the foundation for continued membership growth and engagement. Additionally, in 2023 as a first-year board member, Russ continued this focus by supporting new member services and engagement strategies.

“He is one of the biggest advocates for BOMA Georgia membership that I know,” BOMA Georgia Senior Director of Operations and Communications Jacob Wilder said. “The kindness, care, and passion Russ shares with his fellow members is infectious. Whether they are service partners or property management professionals, he will always be the first to raise his hand and go out of his way to help welcome and mentor new and prospective members of the association.”
