1999 | Member of the Year Award (Discontinued)Company: Childress Klein Properties

To honor his significant service to BOMA Atlanta during 1999, members presented Pat Freeman, senior property manager with Childress Klein Properties, with the Member of Year award in 1999. Freeman has been in the commercial property management field since 1986, managing a cumulative total of just under 2.5 million square feet. Encouraged by Childress Klein Properties to pursue professional growth, he holds the RPA and SMA designations from BOMI, the CPM designation from IREM, and the CCIM designation from CIREI. Freeman served consecutive years as chair of the BOMA education task force. Thanks in large part to Freeman’s leadership, BOMA-Atlanta registered nearly 600 students in courses throughout 1999, doubling the amount registered from the preceding year. Freeman served two years on the board of directors of BOMA-Atlanta before moving onto the executive committee. Freeman is a certified instructor for BOMA-Atlanta, and has taught the Design, Operations and Maintenance courses I and II, as well as the Leasing and Marketing course. A firm believer in education, he wrote the article “Why Education?” for the fall 1999 edition of the Atlanta Office and Commercial Real Estate Magazine. Finally, Freeman worked on the executive education subcommittee within BOMA International’s education committee.
