Marcy Moneypenny
2009 | Pen & Quill Award (Discontinued)Company: CB Richard EllisMarcy Moneypenny, RPA, with CB Richard Ellis, received the 2009 BOMA Atlanta Pen & Quill Award. The award was created to recognize significant contributions made by an individual to BOMA Atlanta’s print magazine.
Marcy was an active member of BOMA Atlanta’s Editorial Board, which planned content for the association’s magazine.
Before presenting her with the award, 2009 BOMA Atlanta President Grace Bickham said, “Since its introduction, BOMA-Atlanta’s magazine has given a voice to the commercial real estate industry. The magazine is guided by BOMA’s Editorial Board. The Pen and Quill Award is presented annually to an individual for superior contributions to BOMA Atlanta’s magazine.”
BOMA Atlanta Executive Director Gabriel Eckert said, “Marcy is one of the most dedicated volunteers in our association. She is thoughtful, strategic, and sincere. Marcy is also a natural mentor and a gifted writer. While we celebrate her contributions to our magazine, her impact reaches far beyond, making a positive difference in the lives and careers of many, many people.”
Marcy studied art education at the University of Oklahoma, and she also earned the Real Property Administrator (RPA) designation from the Building Owners and Managers Institute (BOMI).
Marcy began her career in an administrative role working with a general contractor who focused on tenant improvements for commercial real estate properties. She was subsequently hired by one of the contractor’s clients to serve in an administrative role for a global real estate company. Marcy joined CBRE in 2004.
