2025 | Huey AwardCompany: Lillibridge Healthcare ServicesIan Hughes, Senior Vice President of Management and Leasing with Lillibridge Healthcare Services, has been chosen to receive the 2025 Huey Award
The Huey Award is BOMA Georgia’s highest honor, created to recognize years of dedicated service to the association. It is presented to an individual who has tirelessly given their time in service to BOMA Georgia. This year, the association is proud to bestow the award upon Ian Hughes, a leader whose impact on BOMA Georgia spans decades and whose genuine care for others has shaped countless careers.
Ian’s leadership within BOMA Georgia includes serving as the 2016 BOMA Georgia President. That same year, his contributions were recognized beyond Georgia when he was selected as the 2016 BOMA Southern Region Member of the Year. He has also served as a member of various committees, and on the BOMA Georgia Foundation Board of Trustees in 2014. His career-long commitment to the organization is reflected in his support for member involvement and his mentorship of many CRE professionals.
He is known as a connector—someone who never meets a stranger and who remembers something meaningful about everyone he encounters. His warmth, humor, and interest in others have made him a beloved individual in the BOMA community.
2025-2026 BOMA Georgia President Carla Moule reflected on how her path first crossed with Ian at a BOMA Georgia community service day painting the interior of a YWCA facility.
“Ian handed me a paintbrush, and we chatted for hours,” she said.
“Fast forward ten years, I had the good fortune of serving on the BOMA Georgia board of directors with Ian. Ian is the type of leader who goes the extra mile to make people feel special.”
Ian’s mentorship has left a lasting mark on those fortunate enough to learn from him.
Carla said, “Ian has become a mentor for me professionally and I have grown tremendously in my career in part due to his guidance. And I have witnessed him share this gift with many others. Ian is one of the reasons I felt brave enough to interview for the role of BOMA Georgia President. He encouraged me and believed in me, as a true leader does. I joke and say there are six degrees of separation to Ian Hughes because he knows everyone, and everyone knows and loves him.”
Ian is a leader within BOMA Georgia who champions continuing education and professional growth for his teams. His support of BOMA Georgia has remained consistent throughout his career, demonstrating that true leadership is sustained through years of service.
“His genuine love for people and for BOMA Georgia make him the perfect recipient of this award,” Carla said.
For his decades of dedicated service, his mentorship of emerging leaders, and his extraordinary ability to make everyone around him feel valued, Ian Hughes is a deserving recipient of the 2025 Huey Award.
