Anita Scarborough, RPA, Senior Portfolio Manager at Lincoln Property Company, received the 2021 BOMA Georgia Manager of the Year Award. The award was created to recognize a property or facility manager who has demonstrated leadership in building operations and management, as exhibited through exemplary leadership; teamwork with coworkers and vendors; reduction of energy and/or water use; implementation of environmental sustainability practices; achievement of LEED, BOMA 360 or ENERGY STAR designations; improvement in operational efficiency, tenant relations or best practices; and/or active involvement in BOMA Georgia.

“This year’s award recipient is an impressive, knowledgeable, supportive, and encouraging manager,” said Natalie Tyler-Martin, 2021 BOMA Georgia President. “She values the relationships with her team and service providers, and she is always eager to teach and train.”

Anita’s direct supervisor said, “she is exact, detailed, and spends time thoroughly training staff so that they feel supported.”

Another of Anita’s colleagues said, “She is always willing to lend a hand and enhance the knowledge of others. She strives to make sure her owners get the most value and she has facilitated numerous creative tenant events throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.”

An individual who nominated Anita for the award wrote in their nomination of her, “Anita’s work ethic, kindness, and attention to detail are standout.”

Anita joined BOMA Georgia in 2001 and has been an active member attending many events and educational programs. She also graduated from BOMA Georgia’s CRE Leadership Masters program in 2018.

Anita joined Lincoln Property Company in September 2016 and at the time of receiving this award managed more than 1 million square feet of Class A and Class B real office product. She previously served as a Senior Property Manager for Sovereign Capital Management Group from August 2013 to September 2016; Senior Real Estate Manager for CBRE from March 2013 to July 2013; Senior Property Manager for TPA Realty Services from October 1999 to March 2013; Assistant Property Manager for Prentiss Properties in Fort Worth, Texas from 1998 to 1999; Staff Account for Harwood Pacific Corporation in Dallas, Texas from 1997 to 1998; Senior Revenue Accountant for Prentiss Properties in Dallas, Texas, from 1990 to 1997; and worked in Accounts Payable at Ernst & Young from 1987 to 1990.

Anita earned the Real Property Administrator designation from the Building Owners and Managers Institute International in 2004 and earned a Georgia real estate license in 2006.
