Amanda Madrid

Amanda began her real estate career as a Property Assistant for Sherwood Equities in New York, New York, in 1990. She then joined S.L. Green Management in New York, New York, as an Assistant Property Manager in 1993. There, she assisted with the acquisition and management of receivership properties totaling 1.2 million square feet.
In October 1997, Amanda relocated to Atlanta to serve as Assistant Property Manager with TrizecHahn Office Properties. There, she was initially responsible for assisting with the management of Colony Square, a 819,900 rentable square feet retail complex in Midtown Atlanta. In 2000, she transferred responsibilities to assist with the management of Palisades Office Park, a 635,000 rentable square feet suburban office complex in Atlanta’s Central Perimeter submarket.
In 2004, Amanda began serving as Property Manager with Colonial Properties Trust, where she was responsible for the management of Colonial Center at Mansell Overlook in Roswell, Georgia, a Class A office campus comprised of four buildings totaling 688,000 rentable square feet. She led the property management team to earn ENERGY STAR certification for all four buildings from 2008 to 2010 and LEED certification for 300 Colonial and 500 Colonial in 2010. She also initiated a new community service partnership with Mimosa Elementary School, for which she received the Prestigious Partner Award. Amanda’s leadership was further recognized by Colonial Properties Trust, with the company naming her Property Manager of the Year in 2005 and presenting her with the Star Performer Award that same year.
Amanda joined Jones Lang LaSalle Americas (JLL) as General Manager in December 2012, a position she held for nearly three years. At JLL, Amanda was responsible for the management and operations of Mansell Overlook, a 67-acre campus comprised of four office buildings and two retail centers, totaling 688,000 square feet. There, she led a property management team of six individuals and built cross-functional relationships with property ownership, tenants, brokers, service partners, associations, and the community to generate value for the asset’s ownership.
She then joined Cushman & Wakefield as Senior General Manager in 2015 with continued responsibility for the management and operations of Mansel Overlook, while assisting the company with disposition of the property. She was subsequently promoted to Group Manager and then Associate Director, a position she held until 2023 when she joined JLL as Senior Vice President & Group Manager.
Amanda served as the 2011 BOMA Atlanta Awards Committee Chair and was an active member of several other committees, including the TOBY Judging Committee and Trade Show Committee. She was first elected to serve as a member of the BOMA Georgia Board of Directors for the 2015-2016 term and was subsequently re-elected to serve another two-year term. She continued to serve as a member of the Board of Directors through the end of her service as Immediate Past President in 2024. She was then elected to serve another two-year term from 2025 to 2026. At the conclusion of her service, Amanda’s 12 years as a member of the Board of Directors made her the longest continually serving member of the board in the previous 30 years.
Amanda also served as Treasurer of the BOMA Georgia Foundation from 2023 to 2024.
In 2015, Amanda received the BOMA Georgia Manager of the Year Award.
Amanda earned the Real Property Administrator (RPA) designation from Building Owners and Managers Institute International (BOMI International) in 2008; the Facility Management Administrator (FMA) designation from BOMI International in 2009; the LEED Green Associate designation from the U.S. Green Building Council in 2011; and obtained a Georgia real estate license in 2014.
