TRENDY Award (Formerly All Media Contest)

The BOMA Georgia Foundation was recognized by Association TRENDS with a 2024 Bronze TRENDY Award in the Promotional Items category.

The BOMA Georgia Foundation created a special pin to encourage individuals to donate to the foundation and to thank individuals who made a contribution of $125 or more. The pin featured a cityscape graphic in the foundation’s colors and the words “Changing Lives.” This theme was chosen to reflect how the foundation’s scholarships program is changing lives, with nearly 850 scholarships awarded since the foundation was created in 2014.

Individuals were made aware of the opportunity to donate and receive a pin through email marketing, print communications, and at events. The efforts proved to be very successful, with the foundation setting a record for the number of individual donors in a single year and increasing the number of individual donors by 22% over the previous year. The Changing Lives pin also helped the foundation to significantly raise more funds from individual donors than budgeted, exceeding budgeted income by 127%.

At the time the award was received, the mission of Association TRENDS, a for-profit corporation, was to “equip association industry professionals with the tools they need to better understand and serve their associations and the industry at large through research, publications, training programs, events, and more.”
