BOMA Georgia was recognized by BOMA International with BOMA 360 Performance Program Submission Award in the BOMA Local Associations with More than 300 Members category in 2013. The award recognized BOMA Georgia’s efforts to promote the BOMA 360 program from June 2012 to June 2013 and the number of BOMA Georgia members participating in the program during that time.
The BOMA 360 Performance Program was created in 2009 to recognize operational best practices in the commercial real estate industry. At the time BOMA Georgia received this award, areas evaluated in the BOMA 360 Performance Program included building operations and management; life safety; security and risk management; training and education; energy; environmental sustainability; tenant relations; and community involvement.
BOMA Georgia was one of the first associations in the BOMA International federation to have a significant number of members and properties participating in the BOMA 360 Performance Program. Florence Barbour served as chair of BOMA Georgia’s BOMA 360/EER Task Force in 2012, which worked to increase awareness of and member participation in both the BOMA 360 Performance Program and the Experience Exchange Report (EER). Nancy Hodge served as staff liaison to the task force.
