APEX Award

BOMA Georgia received a 2024 APEX Award of Excellence in the Websites – WordPress Sites category in recognition of the CRE Insight Journal website.

At the time of receiving the award, BOMA Georgia’s www.CREInsightJournal.com website was a leading resource for commercial real estate (CRE) professionals in Georgia and beyond. The site featured a growing catalog of resources including articles, videos, webinars, publications, and other resources in nearly 30 content categories. Furthermore, with more than 100 unique pieces of content added in 2023 alone, the website had quickly become a go-to resource for CRE professionals.

The website also included a collection of digital publications, career-related resources, and a marketplace to find product and service providers.

Importantly, the education section of the website had been leveraged to partner with more than 40 other nonprofit organizations throughout the United States to offer webinars on topics including cybersecurity; diversity, equity, and inclusion; environmental sustainability; leadership; mental health; and more.

Additionally, two awards programs were conducted through the website. These awards programs gained national – and international – participation. The CRE Insight Journal Excellence Awards recognized commercial real estate companies and buildings excellence in diversity, equity, and inclusion; tenant care; environmental sustainability; and collaborative service. The 10 to Watch awards program recognized the real estate industry’s top early career professionals by sharing the stories of how emerging professionals are shaping the real estate industry through a variety of career pathways.

Finally, CRE Insight 365 membership provided on-demand access to exclusive content that served the diverse needs of CRE professionals.

APEX, the Annual Awards for Publication Excellence Competition, began in 1988. The awards program was in its 36^th year when BOMA Georgia received this award and the competition was sponsored by the editors of Writer’s Web Watch, an e-newsletter for communicators who write, edit and manage business publications. Writer’s Web Watch was published by Communications Concepts, Inc.

“The APEX Awards are based on excellence in graphic design, editorial content, and the ability to achieve overall communications excellence,” said Communications Concepts, Inc. “Each year, the judges find it harder and harder to select the winners because of the high caliber of so many entries and 2024 was no exception. With more than 1,100 entries, competition, as always, was exceptionally intense.”

The panel of judges for APEX 2024 included Ken Turtoro, APEX Senior Judge and Concepts Executive Editor; John De Lellis, Concepts Editor and Publisher; Christine Turner, Contributing Editor of the Writing That Works Archives; and Anne Gilio, Consulting Editor.
