Irving W. Sargent

Irving W. Sargent, Manager of the First National Bank Building in Atlanta, served as 1954-1955 BOMA Atlanta President.  

According to an article in the April 12, 1958, issue of The Atlanta Journal, Irving was an active supporter of the Red Cross and in 1958 was the office buildings division chairman, leading fundraising efforts from the office building sector. Collaborating with other fundraising chairs, the Red Cross exceeded its fundraising goal of $616,000, raising a total of $617,325 during the 1958 fundraising campaign.

According to an obituary in the February 1, 1987, issue of The Atlanta Constitution, Irving, who was living in Alpharetta, Georgia, at the time, died on January 31, 1987 at the age of 87. The obituary says Irving was “a retired buildings and real estate manager for First National Bank of Atlanta.” He is buried at Greenlawn Cemetery.
