2015 | President's AwardCompany: Highwoods Properties

Mark A. Gallman, SMA, SMT, LEED GA, Regional Maintenance Manager at Highwoods Properties, received the 2015 BOMA Georgia President’s Award.

“The description of the President’s Award states that it is given at the discretion of the association president to a deserving BOMA Georgia member or staff member who has served beyond the call of duty,” said Mark Dukes, 2015 BOMA Georgia President. “That description describes a lot of our members, but one person came to mind immediately – Mark Gallman.”

Mark went on to say, “When you have an opportunity like I have to serve in a leadership role, you often find yourself in a conference with your peers, thinking of those who would be terrific in committee leadership, or on a task force, or to develop curriculum for a particular seminar or course. Every time we mention Mark’s name, we take assurance that not only is he gifted and able to accomplish the task at hand, we also know from experience that he will step up to the plate and give of his talents and his time. It is because of this, and with great pride, that I selected Mark Gallman as recipient of the 2015 President’s Award.”

Mark joined BOMA Georgia in 2006 as a BOMA Technical Organization member, a category of membership created specifically for building engineers. Mark served as chair of the BTO Council in 2011 and chair of the Editorial Board in 2015. He served as a member of the BOMA Georgia Board of Directors from 2012 to 2013.
